Second Heart and Seterra Group launch senior foot care in Malaysia

Second Heart, the Kyoto-based foot-care company behind Steplife, has partnered with Seterra Group, a Syariah-compliant aged-care group in Malaysia, to bring regular foot checks and early care to seniors.

Many older Malaysians live with diabetes, and nerve damage often means a small blister or cut goes unnoticed until it becomes serious. The partnership aims to catch these problems early, close to home.

What the partnership offers

  • Regular Steplife foot checks for seniors in Seterra's care
  • A program seniors and their families can join with a short sign-up
  • An open door for companies that want to join the partnership

About Steplife

Steplife lets people photograph their feet at home with a smartphone. Clinicians review the photos remotely using IWGDF guideline criteria and follow up when something needs attention. In Japan, Steplife is used by 10 medical institutions with more than 1,400 registered patients.
